Our esteemed friend and ex-Post-Master at Van Meter, J. D. Clayton, was buried last Sunday at the Clayton grave-yard. The Knights of Pythias conducted the funeral services and interred the body with the ceremonies peculiar to the order.
The deceased was a man of upright character and whose generous disposition and rectitude of life merited the respect of all with whom he had become associated, his family has the sympathy of all.
