Page 3Thursday morning about 3:00 o'clock occurred the death of Grandma Folwell. Hannah Pyers was born in Holmes County, Ohio, March 26, 1825. She was married to T. W. Folwell February 15, 1843. They came to Madison County in 1851 and have lived here on a farm ever since.
To this union were born seven children, five girls and two boys. Three daughters and a son still survive her, also two brothers and one sister. Her husband died nearly a year ago.
She was a member of the Methodist church and lived a consistant Christian life from early childhood. She was dearly beloved by all who knew her. The bereaved friends have the sympathy of the entire community.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. church at Patterson on Sunday at 11 o'clock, a.m. conducted by the Rev. Rarick, the pastor. The remains were buried in the Montpelier cemetery.

Page 1Hannah Pyers Folwell was born in Holmes county, Ohio March 16, 1825. Died at her home near Patterson Feb. 4, 1904, the result of a paralytic stroke. She was married to W. A. Folwell Feb. 15th, 1840, and to them were born eight children, five girls and three boys, four of whom survives. Mr. Folwell died about one year ago. Mr. and Mrs. Folwell were among the first settlers of this county, having settled here in 1851. Mrs. Folwell’s death marks the close of a useful life—one full of good deeds. She united with the M. E. church in early childhood and her daily life was consistent with her faith in the Divine Ruler. The funeral services were held from the M. E. church Sunday Feb. 7th conducted by her pastor Rev. Barick and the interment made in the Montpelier cemetery.
