Obituary Notice.

NICHOLS.—Died, near Hebron, Adair county, Iowa, Oct. 31, 1885, Effie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols, aged four years. Also on Nov. 7, their youngest son, Floyd, aged fourteen months. Thus in the short space of one week the messenger of death took two of their loved ones from their embrace, and in this dark shadow of their life the words of the Saviour are their comfort and hope: “Suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is kingdom of Heaven.” The little ones were brought to the Worthington cemetery, in this county, and laid in the silent tomb. The funeral services were conducted in the Worthington church by Rev. Plumb and Eikenberger of the M. E. church.

Relieved from pain and suffering sore,
Their presence with me is no more.
But clothed in robes of spotless white,

Their home is now with Angels bright.
