Rev. Thomas Miller, formerly of this city, died at Eureka Springs, Ark., on the eighth day of October. His wife, son and daughter were with him when he died. He was buried in the Eureka Springs cemetery. Mr. Miller was born in North Carolina in 1814. In 1838 he moved to Indiana and was married the next year. In 1848 he emigrated to Missouri. From 1857 to 1884 he resided at Winterset. In 1847 he began his ministry in the Methodist church. In 1857 he united with the Missionary Baptists. He aided in organizing churches at Macksburg and Patterson. Cancer caused his death. The sorrow of our people goes out to the bereaved family.
