We learn from the Des Moines papers that Mrs. T. J. Empfield, formerly of this city, committed suicide at her home in Des Moines on Wednesday morning. The deed was done by shooting herself through the breast with a revolver. She had been ill for some time and was supposed to be partially insane. She lived several hours after the infliction of the injury. Our people will remember that she became insane while living in Winterset and was sent to the asylum for several months. She leaves a husband, also one little child three years old.
