WALTER E. ROBY

Walter E. Roby, son of Jonathan and Lucinda Roby, passed from time into eternity, Oct. 19, 1925, as the result of stepping on a rusty nail a few days previously.

Mr. Roby, who was born in 1869, had lived his 56 years in Madison county. He was married Aug. 14, 1890 to Miss Florence Jones. To them were born: Frankie, who died in childhood; Russell, Paul, Alvin and Mrs. Grace Mack, living at Truro.

His widow and his brother, Frank, are left to adjust their lives to new conditions, for the going of father and husband seems to rob life of a mainstay for a time.

Mr. and Mrs. Roby united early in their married life with the Christian church at Truro.

The funeral services were conducted at the home Oct. 21st by his pastor, Rev. Frank Cooper.

Mr. Roby was somewhat retiring in habit, yet genial and kindly in every way, a character that will be sadly missed, not only by his many relatives, but by the whole community.

Note: Burial was made in the Young cemetery.
