WALLACE W. BROWN

Wallace W. Brown was born in Scott township, Madison county, Iowa, January 10, 1917. When very small the family moved to Winterset. When five years old Wallace started to school. He was a bright pupil and loved by his teachers and playmates. Three weeks a go he was taken suddenly sick with diabetes and a few days later was taken to the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines where he soon became sick with scarlet fever also. He was brought home and lived only two days passing away May 1, 1924, aged seven years, three months and 21 days.

He leaves, besides his father and mother, one sister Mabel. One brother died of the same disease ten years before. Besides these are his grandparents and many relatives and friends.

Wallace was sweet and loving in health, patient and uncomplaining in sickness, and in death had a radiance about him as though the Angel of Death had touched even the body with a little of the radiance of Heaven.

Rev. D. J. Shenton conducted the funeral service at the grave side in the Winterset cemetery on May 2, 1924.
