Death of L. D. SALISBURY

L. D. Salisbury of Guthrie Center, superintendent of Winterset public schools from 1904 to 1909 dropped dead on Tuesday morning from heart trouble.

He had suffered from mastoiditia, which necessiated an operation several months ago. Since that time, his health has been very poor, heart weakness being his chief ailment.

Since leaving Winterset, the Salisbury family have lived in Guthrie center, where he owned a store, giving it is attention until recently.

The news came by telephone from Mrs. Salisbury to friends here Tuesday afternoon. Besides his wife, two sons, Byron and Gene, survive.

Mr. Salisbury possessed many warm friends, gained during five years of residence here and his death, while yet in the strength of middle life, brings regret to them. Deep sympathy goes out to Mrs. Salisbury and her sons in their loss.
