Mrs. Emma Ward McCready died in Cainesville, Mo., March 20, 1901, aged 44 years. Her remains were brought to the home of her mother, Mrs. Philip Tarbell in Lincoln township for burial. The funeral services were conducted at the residence on Saturday by Rev. L. E. Follansbee. She was a member of the M. E. church and was held in high esteem by the large number of friends who attended the services and interment.

Mrs. Emma Ward McCready died in Cainsville, Missouri March 20, 1901, and was brought to the home of her sister, Mrs. Phillip Tarbell, in Lincoln township, for burial. The funeral was conducted by Rev. L. E. Follansbee on Saturday, and was largely attended. She was 44 years of age, and a member of the M.E. church at Cainsville.

Page 2Mrs. Emma Ward Tarbell died March 20, 1901, at Cainsville, Mo., aged 44 years. Her remains were brought to the home of her mother, Mrs. Phillip Tarbell, in Lincoln Township for burial. The funeral was held at the residence on Saturday, conducted by Rev. L. E. Follansbee and was largely attended by friends and relatives. She leaves a mother, sister and husband to mourn her loss. She was a member of the M. E. church and a noble christian woman.
_______________________________Coordinator's Note: Mrs. Philip Tarbell, was born in 1852. Mrs. McCready, at age "44" would have been born in 1857. There is also no census evidence that Philip & Nancy Tarbell had a child. Only the Madisonian got the relationship correct.
