Services for Ronald G. McCaslen, 76, Creston, who died Oct. 14 at his residence were held Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home with the Rev. M. Wayne Clark officiating. Burial was at the Greenfield Cemetery.
Born July 16, 1911 in Adair County, he was the son of Robert and Louise Schulz McCaslen.
Mr. McCaslen was born in Adair County and lived his youth in the Macksburg area of Madison County. He farmed in the Van Meter area for 35 years until moving to Creston in 1976.
He was married in Mildred Spooner Emory on July 27, 1976 at Strassburg, Colo., his second marriage. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Hebron and the Eagles Lodge at Creston.
Survivors include a daughter, Charleen Kozak of Earlham; stepsons, Dean G. Emory of Winterset and Harlan L. Emory of Adel; a grandson, two step-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Mable Short of Greenfield, Mrs. James (Helen) Weaver of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Wanda Gray of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.
