Mrs. Belle Teets, wife of Sherman Teets, died at their home Sunday morning and was buried Monday at the Ebenezer cemetery.

Mrs. Teets was sick only a short time with quick consumption.

She was 33 years old and leaves a husband and a daughter 10 years old and a host of friends she made while she was living here to mourn her loss. Mr. and Mrs. Teets have been here three or four years and all unite in extending Mr. Teets and daughter their heart felt sympathy in their great loss.

Elizabeth Teets

Wife of Sherman Teets and daughter of P. A. Esmoil and wife was born near Muscatine, Ia. Feb. 19, 1871 and died near Truro, Ia. May 22d, 1904 aged 33 years, 3 months and 3 days.

Deceased was married to Sherman Teets at Muscatine January 18, 1893. A daughter Ethel aged 10 years lives to know the loss of a precious mother. Besides the aged parents there remains the following brothers and sisters: B. S. Esmoil, Joseph L. Esmoil, of Jessup, Ia., Mrs. Dick, of this county, Mrs. Royer of Muscatine, and Mrs. O. L. Borden, of Axton, Colorado.

Mrs. Teets lived an active and consistent Christian life and enjoyed a membership in the Truro M. E. church at the time of her death.

The funeral services were conducted from the home on May 23d by Rev. A. E. Fouch, her pastor.

Died Sunday May 22, 1904, Mrs. Belle Teets, aged 33 years, wife of Sherman Teets. Thus a noble young woman has left us. Her husband and daughter, 10 years of age survive her. Hers is the first death in her father's family of four daughters and two sons, her father, mother and two sisters were with her during the last days of her life.

She was a good woman and died in the faith of Jesus. Her home has been in the Oak Run neighborhood for five years.

Funeral was held at her late residence conducted by Rev. Fouch of the M. E. church. A good sermon was preached to the living. Her remains were laid to rest in the Ebenezer cemetery by a large number of sympathizing friends.
