Ray Keating Died Thursday

Ray E. Keating, a well known resident of Scott Township for many years, died last Thursday, Jan. 22, at Memorial Hospital in Winterset. He was 68 years of age.

Mr. Keating was a native of Adair County where he was born in Harrison township Dec. 23, 1901, a son of James and Clara Estes Keating. He came to Scott township 20 years ago. His life was spent farming.

Mr. Keating was married at Adel on Dec. 3, 1930, to Doris Wells, who survives. He was a member of the Zion Federated church.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Mrs. John Snyder, and Bill Keating, both of Winterset; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Letitia Turner of Greenfield.

Funeral Services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by John Safford.

(Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.)
