Steven Paul Carpenter, 41, of Guthrie Center died Sept. 27, 2007.

Memorial services were held Monday, Oct. 1, at Early Chapel Christian Church in Madison County with Pastor Neal Hanley officiating. The body has been cremated and will be interred by the family at a later date.

Steve Carpenter was born on May 31, 1966, in Des Moines to Dale and Eleanor (Oglesbee) Carpenter. On April 2, 1988, he married Susanna Ruth Eggers in Winterset. Steve grew up in Winterset and lived in several places before settling in Guthrie Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Susanna, of Guthrie Center; two daughters, Rachelle and Lexi Carpenter of Guthrie Center; and a brother, Roger Carpenter of Schaumburg, Ill.
