MAUDE A. RUSSELL

Maude A. Russell, the daughter of James W. and Mary A. Easton Bryant, was born in Adair County, Iowa on November 27, 1876, and passed away September 4, 1971 at the Madison Manor nursing home in Winterset at the age of 94 years and 9 months.

On January 19, 1899 she was united in marriage to Lewis A. Russell. To this union was born three children, Merle B. of Des Moines, Ivan E. of Earlham and Lelah (Mrs. Paul Hochstetler) of Winterset. She is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Grace Lenocker of Cedar Rapids, a niece and a nephew.

Preceding her in death were her husband in June 1937, her parents and two brothers.

She was a member of the Grace Baptist church of Winterset and was a faithful attendant as long as her health permitted.

The service was held on Tuesday morning, September 7 at 10:30 at the Evans Funeral Home in Earlham. Rev. Stanley L. Mohr of the Air Part Baptist church of Des Moines, a former pastor of the Winterset Baptist church officiated and Gretchen Brittain was organist. Burial was in the Dexter cemetery.
