STEVEN EDWARDS SERVICES HELD

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Adel Christian church for Sp. 4 Steven Edwards of DeSoto, who was killed in action Jan. 18 in Vietnam while serving with the U.S. army.

Steven, who was 21 years of age, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil L. Edwards of DeSoto. A former student in the Winterset elementary schools, he graduated from Adel High school with the class of 1967, and enlisted in the army in February, 1968. He was sent to Vietnam last June.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Roger and Gary, both of Adel, and Mike, a student at Boone, and two sisters, Mrs. Debbie Daugherty of Des Moines and Wendy, at home.

Note: Burial was made in the Oakdale cemetery at Adel.
