MADGE KING DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Mrs. Madge King of St. Charles died Sunday, Feb. 1, at Canoga Park, Calif. She was 81 years of age.

Mrs. King was a life-time resident of Madison county. She was the former Madge Howard, daughter of Elmer and Emma Allen Howard, and was born at Hanley May 8, 1888. She was married to Perry S. King on June 29, 1905. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the St. Charles Methodist church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Madelyn Wright of Des Moines, Mrs. Lenora Button of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Geraldine Lathrum of Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Charolette Bolyard of Canoga Park, Calif. She also leaves a sister, Orma Howard of St. Charles; and a brother, Esmond Howard of Winterset.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday at St. Charles, conducted by the Rev. James Louk. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
