MRS. (NANCIE) EDMOND KALE

Nancie Matilda Lyons was born in Harris county, Ohio, July 18, 1853, and died at her late home near Truro, on Feb. 17, 1922, at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 29 days.

She moved with her parents to Iowa in 1879 and lived for many years on the old home farm, northwest of Truro. On Nov. 22, 1899 she was married to Edmond Kale.

Mrs. Kale has never enjoyed rugged health and for a number of years her health has been on a decline, and for the last year, was expecting the call of the Great Teacher of men, to come to that higher kingdom that He has prepared.

She has been an active member of the M. E. church about all her life. She has served as Sunday school superintendent, and filled other places of usefulness in the church she loved so well. She belonged to a family of ten children, and was the oldest of the family.

She is survived by her husband and four brothers, with other relatives and a great many friends. She was a quiet woman, who was loved by her many friends.

The funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church by her pastor, Rev. J. O. Carder, Feb. 19th, burial in the Young cemetery, east of Truro.

Truro

Mrs. E. A. Kale, who has been a great sufferer the past months with tuberculosis, passed away at her home southwest of Truro Friday evening. The funeral was held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Carder, assisted by S. C. Howe. The remains were laid to rest in the Young cemetery east of town.

Oak Run

Mrs. Tillie Kale passed away Friday evening. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at Truro on Sunday afternoon.
