FRANK B. PERCY DIES AT 80 YEARS

Services Held Monday for Well Known Retired Farmer

Frank B. Percy of Winterset, a well known retired farmer here, died at Madison county Memorial hospital Friday, May 15 after an extended period of failing health. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Percy was a native of Fulton county, Illinois, where he was born April 13, 1879 a son of Palmer E. and Ruth Ann Fuller Percy. When he was 3 years of age he came with his parents to the Dexter community. He came to Madison county in 1915, and with the exception of a few years in Warren county, spent the remainder of his life here. He retired in 1949 and moved into Winterset.

He was married at Dexter on Feb. 22, 1906 to Katie M. Snapp, who survives him.

He was a member of the Methodist church at Winterset.

In addition to his wife, he leaves three sons, Loren Percy of Burbank, Calif., Glenn Percy of Van Nuys, Calif., and Merle Percy of Earlham; two daughters, Mrs. Fern Doyle of Des Moines and Mrs. Helen Callison of Winterset; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. John C. Porath. Burial was made in the Dexter cemetery.
