Mrs. Sarah M. Baker, of Jefferson township, Adair county, died of paralysis at her home, Aug. 14th, in the 51st year of her age.

Mrs. Baker came to Madison county about thirty years ago, and after living in this county about ten years, removed to Adair county, where she resided until her death. Her husband, J. R. Baker, was one of the five men who were drowned in Middle River in Adair county, July 3d, 1875.
