Des Moines NEWS, Sept. 18: Mr. J. W. Wood, bookkeeper of the Iowa Tribune, died at 6 o'clock last night at his residence on North Sixth street, after an illness of one week, most of which was past in a delerious state. He was 35 years of age, was married and leaves a wife and three children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. Mr. Wood came to Des Moines from Winterset. He was well-known and respected throughout Madison county.
