We are sorry to note the fact of the death of B. R. St. John, of Monroe township, which occurred some days ago. Mr. St. John had been suffering all winter and several weeks prior of his death his family and friends had given up all hopes of his recovery.

In the death of Mr. St. John, Monroe township loses one of her very best citizens; he was a man of much influence and noted for his correct principles and unswerving integrity. He was among the old settlers of Madison county, and many are the grief-stricken friends who deplore his death, though they take comfort in the fact that he leaves an honored life behind and has only gone to his reward in that better world.
