Daniel Scott, aged ninety-one years, died last Thursday at the home of his son-in-law, G. R. Pace, of Patterson.

Mr. Scott was born in Virginia in June 1792, and early in life moved to Kentucky, where he married Arabella Young in 1815, and where he resided on a farm for forty-five years. He moved to Iowa in 1863, his wife dying four years thereafter.

Mr. Scott had a family of eleven children, all of whom arrived at the age of maturity except one. His grand children number 70, great grand children, 37, and great great grand children, 2.

The remains of Mrs. Scott were exhumed and together with those of Mr. Scott were interred at Blair chapel.
