C. B. Harrell of Lincoln township, was killed by a stroke of lightning.

A sad death by lightning occurred last Tuesday morning to Mr. C. D. Harrell, of Lincoln township. It was about noon, and Mr. Harrell had led his horses to the well to water them, and while there priming the pump was struck and instantly killed, also one of the horses. Mr. Harrell was one of Lincoln township’s most respected farmers, he was well thought of and highly esteemed. The community as a unit deplore his untimely death and sympathize most deeply with the bereaved family.
