In Memory of:

Jonathan Ruby enlisted as a musician in company F, 39th Iowa Infantry, on the 17th day of August, 1862, at the age of 30. He was afterwards made Fife Major of his Regiment. He served until his regiment was mustered out when the war was closed. He died December 8, 1880, leaving a wife and several children.
