MRS. LUELLA MERRYMAN ALLCOCK DIES AT HOME OF NEPHEW

Mrs. Luella Merryman Allcock passed away Thursday evening at the home of her nephew, Charles Merryman and wife in St. Charles where she had been tenderly cared for ever since Sept. 25th, when she became critcally ill at her home in Hanley. She was of a quiet disposition and was held in high esteem by her many friends for her kindness of heart and loyalty to her home, her friends and her neighbors of many years standing.

She was almost 82 years of age and had lived in Hanley many years. Her husband the late Henry Allcock was killed in January 1937 when his automobile overturned in a ditch south of Winterset.

She was the youngest of a family of 13 children, four sons and nine daughters, all of whom had preceded her in death. She is survived by a number of nephews and nieces, a step daughter, Mrs. Clara Burd of Comfrey, Minn., and many friends.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lucius Smith at the Methodist church in St. Charles Saturday afternoon and burial was made in the Linn Grove cemetery.

ST. CHARLES

Mrs. Luella Alcock of Hanley died at the home of her neighbor, Charles Merriman in St. Charles Thursday night of last week.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at St. Charles Saturday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Lucius Smith of the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Linn Grove cemetery by the side of her husband, Henry Alcock, who died a little over a year ago.

Mrs. Alcock was the last member of a large family. She was 83 years of age and has been a resident of Hanley for about 40 years.
