FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR SUSIE SAGE

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon from Collins Funeral home in Winterset for Susan Odessa Sage, of Prairie City, Ia.

Mrs. Sage died Aug. 18 at Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. She was 87 years of age.

The daughter of Samuel and Eliza Read Rhoads, she was born July 31, 1883 in Madison county. She lived in Madison county 67 years.

She was married to Harry S. Sage on June 1, 1907. He died in 1953. She was also preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and two sisters.

Surviving ar a daughter, Mrs. Marie Abrahams of Prairie City, Iowa; three grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ross Rhoads and Earl Rhoads of Winterset.

Officiating at the service was the Rev. E. E. Jandebeur, pastor of the Christian church in Winterset. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
