Wednesday, October 7, 1970INFANT DIES AFTER 37 HOURS OF LIFE
Curtis Gene, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Morris, Jr., of rural Van Meter, died Monday, Oct. 5 at Mercy hospital in Des Moines. The baby lived just 37 hours after its birth there.
The child is survived by its mother, the former Vicky Alexander; its father; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Morris, Sr., of Des Moines and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Alexander of Winterset; and great grandparents, Mrs. Hettie Morris of Truro and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wight of Winterset.
The infant was buried this Tuesday in the Winterset cemetery, with grave-side services conducted by Msgr. John W. Higgins, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset.
