DR. BEAN FOUND DEAD ON FLOOR

Iceman Discovers Body, Lived Alone. Aged Veterinary Had Been in Feeble Health

When Everett Garretson opened the door to Dr. Bean's rooms to deliver some ice he discovered the body of the aged veterinary on the floor. Dr. Bean had evidently dropped dead some time that morning.

Dr. Bean has occupied rooms over Mrs. Tracy's millinery store for a good many years. He has been in feeble health for several years. Coroner Cassiday viewed the body but summoned no jury. The funeral was held Friday afternoon, Rev. Donovan preaching the funeral sermon.

Dr. Bean came to Winterset a good many years ago and practiced as a veterinary. Later years he worked as a cancer doctor getting into trouble because he was not a graduate. Little is known of his relatives. He was nearly seventy years old. He was a courteous, affable man who had no enemies and many friends.
