St. MarysRuth Henson, 93, of St. Marys died Aug. 9, 2007, at the Village Health Center in Indianola.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 13, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Martensdale. Burial was at St. Marys Cemetery.Ruth Henson was born May 6, 1914, in Madison County to Ernest and Etta Mae (Statler) Strable and was a graduate of St. Charles School. Her marriage to Albert Henson took place Jan. 7, 1937. Ruth was a homemaker, member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and St. Marys Community Club. She also sold Fuller Brush products and was involved with all the activities of living on a farm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert, four brothers, two grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
She is survived by one son, Larry (Terri) Henson of Martensdale; three daughters, Alberta (Roy) Seymour of Prole, Kathy (Vin) Wildin of Winterset, and Betty (Don) Emehiser of Johnston; a brother, Rex Strable of Rio Rancho, N.M.; a sister, Helen Whitlow of Winterset; and 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, St. Marys Fire & Rescue or Hospice of Central Iowa – Knoxville office.
