AUGUST NITZSCHE BURIED AT LORIMOR

Former Farmer at Kasson Died April 3 After Long Illness

August Nitzsche, a long-time resident of Madison and Union counties, died April 3 at Lorimor, after a year of failing health. He was 83 years of age.

Mr. Nitzsche was a farmer in the Kasson community of Madison county for most of his life, prior to his retirement 12 years ago. He was a native of Dalton, Ill., where he was born Oct. 25, 1866, a son of John August and Christliebe Nitzsche. He was married to Alwina West Sept. 18, 1895. She died in 1938.

Surviving are three children, William A. Nitzsche of Lorimor, Elmer A. Nitzsche of Lansing, Mich., and Mrs. Cora Sherman of Glenville, Nebr., a stepson, George West of Tofield, Alberta, Canada; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 6 from the Lorimor Methodist church, with the Rev. Mr. Nye and the Rev. Mr. Hamilton officiating. Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
