Clifton Howard Boyle, son of Cord and Cora Boyle, was born September 25, 1902, and died at the Madison County Memorial hospital in Winterset on January 1st, 1970, at the age of 67.
He lived his entire life in Penn Township and the Penn Center community, where he was a member of the Penn Center United Methodist church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cord Boyle, on April 30, 1967. Surviving are his mother, Cora, and three sisters: Ruth Boyle and Mabel Gilman of Earlham, and Mildred Willison of Norwalk; three brothers: Raymond of Stuart, and Dale and Lester of Earlham.
Last rites were held at the Penn Center church on Saturday, Jan. 3, with burial at the Penn Center cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cord Boyle, on April 20, 1967. Surviving are his mother, Cora, and three brothers, Raymond of Stuart, Dale and Lester of Earlham; and three sisters: Ruth Boyle and Mabel Gilman of Earlham, and Mildred Willison of Norwalk, and by several nieces and nephews.
Last rites were held at the Penn Center Church on Saturday, Jan. 3, with burial at the Penn Center Cemetery, with the local pastor officiating. Frank Junkin, accompanied by Mrs. LaVere McCleary, sang a solo.
