Memorial services were held Sunday afternoon, July 27 at 2:00 o'clock for Mrs. Faye Fry Farr, widow of Dr. Wendell G. Farr, former dean and professor of religion at both Wilmington College and William Penn College.
Mrs. Farr was born in Kansas January 20, 1886, the daughter of William Henry and Gulelma George Fry. The family lived in Earlham for a number of years. Wendell and Faye Farr were married in 1914 and spent several years as missionaries in Jamaica.
Mrs. Farr resided at the Wilmington Extended Care Facility, Wilmington, Ohio, where she died on July 21, 1975 after an illness of three weeks. She was a member of the Wilmington Friends Meeting.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marian (Richard) Heitman of Kailua, Hawaii and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth (Harold) Stanfield of London, Ohio; a sister, Miss Edna Fry of Wheatridge, Colorado; seven granddaughter and six great granddaughters.
Rev. Willard Reynolds of Grinnell officiated at the services held at the Evans-McKee Funeral Home and burial was in Bear Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Farr was an aunt of Mrs. Roland Conrad.
