DEATH OF MISS NANNIE POLK

The news of the death of Miss Nannie Polk will be received with sorrow and sympathy by all who knew her. She has been quite dangerously ill for some time, but during the past month and only a few days previous to her death she had so far recovered as to be able to ride out, when she was again called to her bed where she remained till death claimed her, which was on Wednesday of last week. Miss Nannie Polk has ever been loved and respected for her gentle, loving nature and lady-like manners. She was highly accomplished, and was ever ready with kind words and unselfish actions. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in their loss of one so valuable to society and family happiness.

The funeral services were held at the residence, conducted by Rev. Felton, after which a large concourse of friends followed the remains to the cemetery, where they were deposited in their last resting place.
