BODY FOUND

Mr. Ira Walker, while crossing North river last Sunday on a tree, discovered the body of a man entangled in the limbs of the tree. He immediately notified the proper parties, and on Monday a Coroner's inquest was held over the body, which proved to be one William Cannon, who had formerly lived in Winterset, but when last heard from was living in East Des Moines. He had been an inmate of the Asylum at Mount Pleasant, but was discharged as being cured of his insanity, and the supposition is that he met his death either by accident or by his own action, while under another stage of insanity. All the evidence that could be gathered leaves it conclusive that the body has lain in the creek since some time last October.
