Death of Mrs. Frank Bush

Mrs. Frank Bush, one of the pioneer settlers of this community, died Friday, April 27th after an extended illness. Mrs. Bush had a stroke of paralysis about six weeks ago, and her condition gradually became worse. For several weeks she has been in Winterset at the home of Dr. Fannie Parks, receiving treatment.

Mary Caroline Bush was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Wilkinson, and was born in Peoria, Illinois, February 26, 1861. The family moved to Dallas county in 1868, and built the first residence that was erected in De Soto. Later they moved to Grand River township in Adair county and here she was married to Mr. Bush in 1885. They have since made their home in that community with the exception of six and one-half years in Gordon, Nebraska.

The deceased is survived by her husband and two sons, Guy of Greenfield and Ralph of Corydon; five brothers, Bryon Wilkinson of Broadwater, Nebraska, Gregg and Grant of Colorado Springs; John of Aurora, Colorado; B. A. of New York and a sister, Miss Letha Wilkinson of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ in Winterset by the pastor, the Rev. F. Clare McCallon, Monday April 30th and burial was made in the Greenfield cemetery.
