February 5, 1975Former Teacher Viola Doud Dies
Funeral services will be held at All Saints Church in Stuart this Friday for Mrs. Viola Doud of Stuart, a former third grade teacher in the Winterset Community School District. She was 51 years of age.
Mrs. Doud died at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines last Sunday, February 2. She had undergone a kidney transplant about 14 months ago.
Mrs. Doud taught third grade here from 1965 to 1971, when her health forced her to retire. She had previously taught for several years in Adair County rural schools.
Survivors include her husband (words missing) Stuart, and one daughter, Carolyn. Also surviving are two sisters and her mother.
Services are set for 10:30 a.m. this Friday afternoon February (?) at All Saints church in Stuart. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery.
