Earlham, Iowa
January 1915Perry Hadley Zeliadt, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Zeliadt was born February 8, 1912 at Oskaloosa, Iowa and died January 17, 1915, aged 2 years, 11 months and 9 days at the home of his grandfather Perry Hadley, north of Earlham.
He suffered from pneumonia and his condition was not considered dangerous until a few days before his death when he became unconscious, cerebral meningitis having developed. He never regained consciousness but fell sweetly asleep in his mother’s arms-gone to make Heaven brighter.
Little Perry leaves a father and mother, grandfather and two grandmothers, aunts and uncles and three little cousins who will sadly miss the patter of his nimble little feet and the call of his happy voice. He was a sturdy little fellow—always cheerful and playful winning friends wherever he went.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Friends church conducted by Dr. Edwards of Penn College, assisted by Rev. Haworth and Rev. Stribling. Interment was made in the Earlham Cemetery.
