Brought to Newton for Burial.

Mrs. Mary Lovelace, aged mother of J. B. Eyerly, of this city, died at the home of her daughter in Winterset, last Sunday, and the remains were brought to Newton on Tuesday and laid to rest beside her first husband, Mr. Samuel Eyerly, who died here about twenty-nine years ago. Mother Lovelace lived near Monroe for a number of years, where she was dearly loved by everybody. She was the mother of nine children, all living.

She was a life long Methodist and Christian mother of the purest type. The remains were accompanied to Newton by her daughter, Mrs. Mollie Corwin-McGinnis with whom she had made her home; her son and grandson, George Eyerly and Vincent Eyerly of Winterset and her granddaughter, Miss Laura LaPella of Earlham. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Eyerly and a number of friends met them at the depot, and proceeded to the cemetery where brief services were held, conducted by Rev. Lavender. --- Newton Record.
