Died in Scott township, January 17th, Mrs. Margaret Harris. The deceased was born in North Carolina on July 4, 1794. She lived in Madison County about 27 years.

She was buried at the Beardsley cemetery on January 19th. She had been afflicted with cancer for a long time.
