Edna V. McGinnis, 102, died of cancer Oct. 26, 2000 at Integrate Health Services in Winterset.

Graveside services were held Monday Oct. 30, at Oakwood Cemetery in Casey with the Rev. Mary Pope officiating.

Edna McGinnis was born Oct. 1, 1898 to Reuben D. and Carrie (Halley) Mowry) of Casey. Her marriage to Floyd McGinnis took place in 1922. They farmed near Greenfield and later owned and operated a hardware store in Casey. Edna also taught country school. She was a member of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband , a sister and a niece.

She is survived by a sister, Lura Hoeness of Winterset; and a nephew Allen Stevenson.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
