Randy Jensen, Winterset

Randy J. Jensen, 47, of Winterset died of esophageal cancer Aug. 31, 2000 at his home.

A memorial service was held Tuesday Sept. 5 at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. A visitation and prayer service was held Tuesday evening Sept. 5 at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. A private family burial of the cremated remains was held at Mr. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Randy Jensen was born Sept. 17, 1952 in Carroll to Harold J. and Margaret A. (Meinen) Jensen. He married Lora Johnson on May 12, 1984 in Carroll. Randy had worked for GE in Carroll for 21 years before moving to Winterset in 1993. He also had worked at Merchandising Frontiers in Winterset and later with Bob Brown Chevrolet in Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife; his mother of Carroll; two sons, Jim Jensen (fiancee Darlis Shelp) of Carroll and Joshua Jensen of Winterset; a daughter, Jodi Lhotka (husband Jason) of Carroll; and one granddaughter.
