On Saturday last one of our oldest and most respected citizens was carried to his last, long house. After many years of ill health and many months of suffering, Mr. Jonathan Myers, of Douglas township, departed this life.

A large concourse of people attended the funeral and testified their sorrow. The procession was a half mile in length. Mr. Myers had many friends and his departure will be mourned by all who knew him.
