FERN DURFEY DIES FRIDAY AT TRURO

Fern Durfey, a well known retired farmer of Truro, died there Friday, Nov. 26, at the age of 53 years.

Mr. Durfey was born near Lorimor, April 13, 1901, and the last 23 years of his life had been spent in Madison county.

He was married Feb. 1, 1923 at Uniontown, Pa., to Grace M. Reel, who survives him. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Lucille Durfey; a daughter, Mrs. H. T. Reed; a son, William L. Durfey; two brothers, Carl and Robert Durfey; three sisters, Mrs. James Dempsey, Mrs. Kenneth Bolle and Mrs. Bert Ingebrittson; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Truro Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Schilling. Burial was made in the Hartman cemetery.

Fern Durfey passed away suddenly Friday morning at the Reed Lumber co. office. He had been assisting with the work of cutting some linoleum. He sat down in a chair and passed away immediately of a heart attack.
