DEATH OF MRS. PLATT

Mrs. Adelia Platt, a Madison county resident for the past seven years, died last Friday at the home of her son, Perry Platt, northeast of Winterset.

Mrs. Platt was born Adelia Martin in Macon, Georgia, in 1855. She was married in 1871 to John Edward Platt. A number of years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Platt moved from Georgia to Wisconsin. In that state, 15 years ago Mr. Platt died, and Mrs. Platt came to Madison county.

She is survived by her seven children, Perry of near Winterset, Avie Whitfield of Percy, Arkansas, Olivia Renolds of Pittsville, Wisconsin, Eddie Wetzell of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Thomas of Nekoosa, Wisconsin, Idella Demmit of Warwick, North Dakota, and Addie Brosman of Beloit, Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held at the home of her son here Saturday, May 12th, in charge of the Rev. Fred W. Madson. Burial was made at Pittsville, Wisconsin.
