LEO D. BEELER DIES SUDDENLY

Prominent Farmer at Truro Succumbs to Heart Attack

Leo D. Beeler, a prominent farmer of the Truro community died suddenly Wednesday July 21 at his farm home. Death resulted from a heart attack. He was 54 years of age.

Mr. Beeler was a life long resident of the county and was born and always lived on the farm where his death occurred. He was born Sept. 13, 1899, a son of Othello and Emma Beeler. His marriage to Bessie See was an event of Feb. 21, 1923. They were parents of two daughters.

Mr. Beeler was active in the affairs of his community over a long period of years.

Surviving are his wife, the two daughters, Mrs. Ira J. Ward of Ames and Mrs. Gillis B. Stegemann of New Virginia; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Otto R. Beeler of Truro and P. F. Beeler of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held from the Peru Methodist church Friday in charge of the Rev. Ray Harness. Burial was made in the Ebeneezer cemetery.

Truro

Lea Beeler passed away at his farm home near Truro very suddenly Wednesday afternoon, July 21, while preparing to assist the veterinarian in vaccinating the cattle on his farm. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Peru Friday afternoon. Burial was in the Ebenezer cemetery.
