MRS. CORA LYON DIES AT DAUGHTERS HOME

ST. CHARLES-Mrs. Cora E. Lyon, daughter of Monroe and Josephine Killiam, died May 24 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Frey, in Park Ridge, Ill. She was 79 years of age.

Mrs. Lyon was born in Madison county April 21, 1873 and spent almost her entire life here. She was married Dec. 25, 1893 to Luther F. Lyon. They were parents of three children, all of whom survive her. They are; Mrs. Fred Stayton of Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Frey of Park Ridge and Clarence D. Lyon of Polk City. She also leaves six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Hall of Malvern, Mrs. Elizabeth Erb of Des Moines and Mrs. Maude Goodrich of Murray; and one brother, Elmer Killiam of California. Her husband died in 1950.

Mrs. Lyon was a life-long member of the Methodist church. The Rev. Oren B. Hall of Maxwell conducted her funeral services. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
