Anna Eliza Bell was born Sept. 17, 1826 and departed this life Jan. 17, 1913, aged 86 years and four months.

She was united in marriage with Jos. F. Buchanan, on March 26, 1850. Mr. Buchanan died Feb. 18, 1903.

Mrs. Buchanan has been a consistent member of the United Presbyterian church of this city for nearly thirty eight years, having placed her letter with that denomination in 1875. She was well and favorably known by the older residents of the town, this having been her home for so many years.

She is survived by two sons and several grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at the home of her son in law, L. Lowe, Monday, Jan. 29th at 2:30 conducted by her pastor, Rev. T. V. Dugan, and interment was at Rock City cemetery.

Mrs. J. F. Buchanan, one of the old and respected citizens of Madison county, passed away on January 17th, after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Buchanan was one of our best known women and loved and honored by all who knew her.

Anne Eliza Belle was born September 17th, 1826 and died January 17th, 1913, at the ripe old age of 86 years and 4 months.

She was married to Joseph F. Buchanan March 26, 1850. Mr. Buchanan departed this life February 18th, 1903.

Mrs. Buchanan united, by letter, with the United Presbyterian church of Winterset, Ia., in 1875 and has been a faithful and consistent member until her death, ever interested in the welfare of her church and the extension of the Kingdom of Christ.

The funeral occurred Monday afternoon from the home of her son-in-law, L. Lowe, conducted by Rev. T. V. Dugan, and she was laid to rest in the Rock City cemetery.
