MRS. DAISY BEEM RITES THURSDAY

Winterset Resident Died on Monday at Memorial Hospital

Mrs. Daisy Beem, member of a pioneer family in this community died Monday, Aug. 18 at the Memorial hospital. She had been in failing health for some time, but her final illness was but a few days in duration.

Mrs. Beem was 74 years of age and her entire life had been spent in this community. She was the former Sarah Daisy Wright, daughter of Eli and Adeline Wright and was born near Winterset July 2, 1878. She was married to Walter E. Beem on Feb. 1, 1898 and they were the parents of eight children, two of whom preceded her in death. Mr. Beem died in 1943.

She is survived by three sons, Everett, Francis and Donald Beem, all of Winterset; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Crawford and Mrs. Gladys Callison of Earlham and Mrs. Lillian Weaver of Winterset; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe Wright of Waterloo and Floyd Wright of Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from Anderson's home for funerals, conducted by the Rev. Clement Loehr, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery
