Funeral Services Are Set for Friday at Pitzer Church
Mrs. Helen L. Williams of Jackson township died Tuesday evening, Dec. 1 at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset, after an illness of eight months. She was 62 years of age.
Mrs. Williams, the former Helen Hoeness was born at Bloomington, Ill., on May 27, 1891, a daughter of Charles L. and Ursula Hoeness. In 1894, she moved with her parents to Madison county where they located on a farm in Jackson township near Pitzer. That neighborhood has since been her home.
She was married Feb. 20, 1918 to John T. Williams, who died in 1939.
She is survived by two children, Mrs. Katherine Weber of Philadelphia, Pa., and Ralph Williams of Jackson township. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Corlett of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Carrie Williams of Estherville; and a brother, S. G. Hoeness of Winterset.
Funeral services will be held this Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Pitzer United Presbyterian church, with the Rev. C. E. Hawthorne of Clarinda officiating. Burial will be made in the Jackson township cemetery.
