MRS. W. C. THOMPSON DIES IN DES MOINES

Mrs. William C. Thompson, former Winterset resident died of cerebral hemorrhage, Tuesday morning January 20th at the age of 49 years. She was the former Marjorie Whitlow of Winterset. She attended the Winterset schools and lived here until her marriage during World War I. She lived in Panora for a couple of years and Des Moines has been her home for the past 25 years.

Her funeral services were held last Thursday morning at the Hamilton funeral home in Des Moines and burial was in the Chapel Hill cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, a son Marion Rudd and a daughter, Mrs. John J. Violett Jr. of Des Moines. She also leaves a grandson, Marion Rudd, aged 11 whom she has raised; her mother Mrs. Josephine Whitlow; four brothers, Cecil and Wendell Whitlow, all of Des Moines; William Whitlow of San Diege, California and Lloyd Whitlow of San Antonio, Texas. The four sisters who survive her include, Mrs. Orie (Rose) Hildebrand of Winterset, Mrs. Larry Tyler,, La Dena Christianson and Mrs. Maxine Scott, also of Des Moines.
